The project is a seven-level parking structure containing 735 parking stalls on the existing Lot 6 Parking area. This project is a design-build partnership between Kiewit and designer Leo A Daly. The parking structure is being built for Nebraska Medicine.
Kiewit demolished the existing garage and built a new precast, fully-enclosed, seven-level, 251-stall garage. The new garage includes entry from Farnam Street, 36th street and Harney Street, and is mechanically ventilated and fully sprinkled. The existing loading dock and maintenance garage were re-used and incorporated into the design.?
The BlueCross Centre is a 316,000-square-foot, 10-story building with an adjacent three-story parking garage. The garage contains 1,195 parking stalls and consists of poured foundations, shear walls and ramps, precast columns, precast tees (post topped) and architectural spandrels.
Parking Structure H is a $23 million, 435,000-square-foot structure located on a 4.8-acre site. The parking structure is the first to serve the University of Colorado at Denver Health Sciences Center's new Anschutz Medical Campus. Kiewit constructed six above-grade levels and one below-grade level, providing 1,540 parking stalls. Additional work included the lighting, signage, landscaping and irrigation, electrical feeder and transformer, and telecommunications and security systems.
